As pet owners, we often wish our pets could tell us when they’re uncomfortable, stressed, or in pain. Until Averia Collar learns how to read and translate dog thoughts (which would be awesome), we have some pretty cool features to help bridge that gap. One of our favorites is temperature alerts.
Temperature alerts notify you when the temperature surrounding your dog’s Averia Collar goes outside a predetermined safe range. When that happens, you get a heads-up and can take immediate action.
In the advanced settings menu of the Averia Collar app, you can customize the temperature thresholds at which we’ll send you an alert. After all, a Siberian Husky is built for (and probably refuses to leave) the snow more than a Chihuahua. To access advanced settings:
- Tap the Profile tab
- Select your pet
- Scroll down to Advanced Settings
These alerts can be useful in all kinds of situations, like when a dog walker takes your pet out in extremely cold weather, or if your dog’s been playing in the heat of summer and needs a water break. Alerts only trigger after 20 minutes of exposure to temperatures outside your threshold, so you won’t get spammed with notifications just for letting your dog out on a hot day.
If you prefer not to receive these alerts, you can easily disable them by tapping Notifications in the Profile tab of the Averia Collar app.
